Ben CHANCE seems to be the happiest and most energetic man in this vicinity. He has not yet decided what he will do, but likely he will begin the manufacture of flying machines or make a tour of the world.

A Sunday Wedding
At 7 o’clock Sunday evening at Wood Lawn, the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel T. HARVEY a mile north of Knox, Benjamin C. CHANCE, son of B. F. CHANCE and Miss Emma M. SIMS, niece of Mrs. HARVEY, who has made her home with them for years, were united in marriage. Rev. T. J. RUSSELL pastor of the Knox Free Methodist church, officiated in the presence of about thirty relatives and friends. Among those present other than relatives were Mr. and Mrs. A. J. STEVENS of Knox, Mr. and Mrs. G. D. LARAMORE and family and Mr. and Mrs. R. M. GIBBS. The bride was handsomely gowned in white silk with a veil and wore a wreath and corsage bouquet of orange blossoms. The groom was in conventional black. A number of handsome wedding gifts were received – silver and glassware, linen and other articles. The young people left on the Niagara Falls excursion Monday afternoon, to be gone a few days. On their return they will make the home for the present with Mr. and Mrs. HARVEY, where they will be glad to meet their friends. Mr. and Mrs. CHANCE are splendid young people, and the Democrat joins their many friends in earnest best wishes.

DEATH OF BENNIE C. CHANCE
September 19, 1881 - May 13, 1925
Bennie C. CHANCE, who has suffered intensely for several months died at the family home Wednesday from the effects of a goitre. Everything possible was done for him and only a short time ago he came home from the Robert A. Long hospital at Indianapolis. At that time he was thought to be some better.
Funeral services were conducted from the Christian Church Friday afternoon in charge of Rev. J. S. VanOrman and interment was made at Crown Hill Cemetery.
Bennie CHANCE the second son of Benjamin Franklin & Ella M. CHANCE was born near Knox, Indiana on September 19, 1881 and departed this life on May 13, 1925, age 43 years, 7 months and 25 days.
When a young man, Bennie united with the Baptist Church at Brems.
With the exception of about two years which he spent in Richmond, Indiana and Missouri, he spent his entire life in Starke County.
On August 26, 1907 he was united in marriage to Emma May Sims, to which union eight children were born, seven of which with the loving wife are left to mourn the passing of this husband and father. The oldest child, Bessie A. passed to the Great Beyond on January 19, 1925.
Others relatives left to mourn are his mother, Mrs. Ella CHANCE of North Judson and four sisters Mrs. Dollie KUNTZ of Gary; Mrs.Lizzie DAVIS of Watsonville, California; Mrs. Rosa NORMAN of Hamlet; Miss Effie CHANCE of North Judson and one brother, Sammie CHANCE of Knox, and a host of other relatives and friends.

DEATH OF BENJAMIN CHANCE
Benj. CHANCE died at the family home on East John street this (Wednesday) morning, after an illness extending over several months. For a time he under went treatment at the Robert Long Hospital in Indianapolis, but the was finally dismissed from that institution for the reason that his condition did not improve. He was brought back to his home here a few weeks ago and has grown steadily worse since that time. The end was not expected.

Funeral services for Benjamin CHANCE who died at his home on East John St., Wednesday morning of last week, following a lenghty illness was held at the Christian Church, Friday afternoon, in charge of Rev. J. S. Van Orman. Interment was made in the Crown Hill Cemetery. Mr. CHANCE is survived by his widow and seven children; also a mother, Mrs. Ella CHANCE, of North Judson; four sisters and one brother.
